MT’s own Kelli S. Kane, co-creator of Planet Saturday, is a founding board member of the ToonSeum in Pittsburgh, a new museum of comic and animation art. The ToonSeum is currently located in the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, but the board is planning to expand into a permanent location in the future. I was lucky enough to visit the Children’s Museum and talk to ToonSeum founder Joe Wos over the holidays, and I was impressed by the strides he and the board have taken so far. If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, check it out. The upcoming show devoted to Wee Pals creator Morrie Turner should be a good one.
