rofflocopters says: Hhahahahahahha, awesome. :) I always loved those style of books.
Colleen Marie says: I was always in on the cool stuff. But never felt like I really fit in. Then I found the D&D group, and realized that they liked me for me, and didn't have to go though Choose our own Censure anymore. Turns out that the books I'd been reading in high school had a name: Fantasy. And the new friends knew all about them, and were able to recomend books. Not like the old friends, who would say: "Wow, you sure read a lot, huh?" and then change the subject back to boys and movies. College is so much better than high school.
Neil Muller says: Damn, that was evil (and funny)
Wyrm says: I would like to visit Escherworld someday... Would David Bowie be there?
Gill says: Yeah, that was totally last year for me.
gridsleep says: Ah, epiphany. The sudden realization that normal people are as inconsequential as they are tedious, and that Robinson Crusoe had it better than he thought. Then, you get slapped with "schizoid personality disorder" which is pinkspeak for failure to conform and obey. Which is good, because then they keep their distance without an overt display of sharp objects.
Sarah (with an h) says: Ah memories... horrible horrible memories. Middle school was such a bummer. : (
gridsleep says: Where do you think David Bowie came from in the first place?
Jezzi Stewart says: #8 was particularly worrying. Back in the '90's I had a student like Eileen in my homeroom. She and another girl committed suicide in a particularly grusome manner. We teachers knew she had suicidal tendencies and were all monitoring her, but she knew what signs we were looking for and fooled us all. I still wonder today if there was some way I could have been more vigalent. I hope Eileen's teachers are keeping an eye on her. On a lighter note, I agree with her about Escher and crime fighting flamingos - I would hire Jimmy Buffett to write the theme song for the CFF TV show.
Zeebee says: I applaud Wyrm for the Labyrinth refrence. I adore that movie.
