I find the look of chocolate fountains to be somewhat disappointing. Instead of this, I want to see a chocolate version of this.

shadowfey says: The problem with that is that though it'd still be delicious, it'd be hot, gooey, chocolatey blistering burns to anyone splashed by the fountaining jets of sugar. But it'd look cool. That's remarkably like the argument behind designer fashions, isn't it?
Adrianna says: mmmmmm.... that would be an amazing chocolate fountain. My friends and I had a chocolate party one time with a chocolate fountain, it was amazing. Chocolate fountains are the best! :)
Alma Mater says: The blistering burns would be worth it. :)
Maxwell says: Aye, there is, in fact, the rub. How do you tactfully inform a person of their faults when they are clearly distraught? I almost feel bad that I cannot feel sympathy for Jess simply because of how little she considers the feelings of others when her own are at stake. I wonder if it's a defense mechanism?
Alma Mater says: Jess can be hard to sympathize with, especially because people care a lot for Eileen and have seen Jess treat her pretty poorly.

I tend to think of Jess as really insecure, given that she hasn't found something to set her apart, and that she has a more accomplished older sister. Given that insecurity, I wouldn't be surprised that she tends to take it out on Eileen, who "reflects poorly" on her and makes her feel like more of a reject. It's not "good" behavior, of course, but I'm guessing that many of us behaved in a similar way when we were Jess's age.
