John Barber self-published his own comics before entering the world of webcomics, and later co-wrote a book called Webcomics, with Steven Withrow. In 2003, Barber joined the Marvel Comics editorial team and became editor of the Wolverine franchise, before leaving to pursue a freelance career—including a return to comics on the web and writing for Marvel's Nation X series. He is the author of the upcoming Art of Iron Man 2 and continues to edit Kick-Ass.
