While just more of the same is certainly one possibility in life, generally life is more diverse unless you are purposefully, if unconsciously, seeking a specific kind of partner. This comic is obviously his understanding of events as he would tell himself about it, with him basically always the innocent victim. It makes you want to kick his ass for being such a dumb fuck.
