Robert The Addled says:
Then by all means - keep knittting. Just no voodoo knitting using the hair of your enemies. The non-checking every day - that's the beauty of RSS feeds - they'll let us know when you post again. Best wishes for your studies - discover something unexpected - just nothing that would make a SCIFY channel original movie.
Arioch says:
Keep knitting, do what you have to do. When you come back to give us awesome comics, we will be here. And, anything that would be even remotely like Get Medieval would be awesome. I followed some links to it a few months ago and red the whole thing in two days. Loved it.
lostandthedamned says:
Don't have to check every day.
I use a site called www.comic-nation.com which track all 200 odd web comics I read and lets me know when they update. One page to check then it opens them all for me - very handy.
Allan says:
Definitely use the sharp, pointy sticks for good instead of evil. We'll want to hear all about the summer archaeology trip later. I'm also blowing off fun stuff for grad school right now myself, so I understand completely!
MalikTous says:
Actually, you're on a ModernTales update alert for me, I check this when MT shows an update. Good luck with your education, we'll wait until you're ready to return!
westmarked says:
I technically check the page everyday, because I have you bookmarked and it's too much trouble to remove it knowing I'll have to add it back later. Have fun with your education (and knitting).
Frith Ra says:
Okay, I'm checking the page every third day, except on Sundays & holidays when I'm rereading old Narbonic strips. ;รพ
I understand how life can get in the way of what one is trying to do. I've got a sick kid & a comic with no buffer myself.
Mollyscribbles says:
Hey, relax. Another comic I check in on semi-regularly is less than two weeks away from the one year anniversary of its last update.
Milo says:
I want to see Irony-chan go crazy and kill people. j/k Archaeology and Martian ecosystems sound interesting! Comics based on either or both of the above sound even more interesting!
Kalatash says:
See? See? SEE?! More proof that knitting causes craziness! We had the industrial revolution for a reason, you know. Quit it and save yourself, while you still can!
[My sister knits as well, and if I passed up an opportunity to make fun of the hobby, what kind of brother would I be?]
Anarcissie says:
The solution for all of us is clearly to *knit* your comics.
Hel says:
Do what you've gotta do. I'll move the bookmark from my 'daily comics' folder to my 'weekend comics' folder, cos I don't wanna miss anything when life allows you to get back to the comic!
e-jit says:
Dear Irony-Chan: fear not; study what you will; knit. It appears to be good for the soul. That which you kindly give us, we can wait awhile to see more of; don't worry if we come back from time to time to check, it just means we won't miss your resumption when it happens.
Read novels about Barsoom (because they are fun and naive and you'll have fun making subtle cross-references to them), if you intend to write about Mediaeval Mars - but not until you've decided what *your* Mars contains, so that you won't feel constrained by someone else's cannon.
blue_cat says:
I am using http://piperka.net/about.html which checks for updates via your RSS feed, and provides a link to your latest webcomic (so I get to see any ad's you might put here) as & when you post one.
er, I do have 63 on watch status there ;) Some haven't updated in over a year. Maybe one day.
Keep knitting!
Anonymous says:
You mean... you're gonna take time away from something you give away for free to concentrate on the stuff that's more important? That's quite alright. Just be sure to mention what you're gonna be working on!
Aldarad says:
Skip knitting.
Go crazy and kill people.
Then make a comic about it!
It would be AWESOME!!!
Aldarad says:
Although your Deviant-art is good too.
I liked the Cotton-Topped Tree Squirrel.
Bruce Bergman says:
No, not every day - I only check it about once a week. We'll leave the light on for ya.
L says:
OK then, despite it saying "Monday through Friday - Filler on weekends" up the to, I'll move you back to my weekly check bookmark list.
(hey guys! radioactive panda updated tonight! its been so long that i don't remember what the comic is about, but I'm still glad to see it!)
Beacon80 says:
Just take your time (and don't kill anybody). I'd much rather wait until you're ready to start again.
Huette says:
I have Dumnestor's bookmarked and check it probably twice a week. I totally understand about school. It is more important to your future to concentrate on that. But, I hope that you don't totally stop drawing this comic after you graduate. This has been too much fun to lose forever. The Mars comic sounds fun also. However, if there are any mysterious un-explained murders involving knitting needles in Canada, you are going to the prime suspect, so be careful. Clean up after yourself. Take care.
Mad Scientist says:
Daily? No no no, of course not.
Three times a week, tops!
The Auld Grump says:
Not checking every day, but I am checking every week. My suggestion is keep knitting AND kill somebody. ('Tswhat role playing gaming is for, sometimes....) - The Auld Grump
Iavasechui says:
well not everyday more like once every 2 weeks now XD
the silent speaker says:
You do what yiou have to do. You haven't yet done a comic I haven't liked, so if/when you restart this and KIP and extd-grb-injoke I will be pleased as punch, but you do not exist to serve me, so you make sure first that what must be done is done.
Terion says:
There are no Ligers in Get Medieval!, so 300% more is still none :(
Milo says:
There was a liger in the circus train. Spot got chased up a tree by it. Or was that a tigon?
Dutch says:
I read the Martian fauna and no doubt a hint will be given there when you get back into the action. In the meantime, make certain you study hard and play enough.
So not disembowel people with your knitting needles, stabbing them through the eye or nose is much neater.
Frith Ra says:
Just thought I'd stop by & drop you a line to let you know that I still care enough to drop by & stop you a line.
Anonymous says:
Still checking - everyday
Isildi says:
Hey there, I know you're on haitus, but whatever you do just have fun & follow your heart. And btw, the gingerbread/snap recipe is pure awesome :3, I love seeing the recipes you come up with.
Acanous says:
Hey Ironychan! I hope you're doing great in school. Good luck on going to Italy (I hear the middle east isn't very nice to females)
Actually a language debate came up in an RP over on Giantitp.com (Question was "Would Welsh people speak Gaelic if Rome never conquored England")
Made me think of you ^^
Anyhow; Health, Wealth and Happiness to you!

Not every day, every other week or so though; please forgive us for not wanting this comic to go into a prolonged coma or even die. It is one of the unfortunately few comics not done by weeaboo schoolkids who think anime is valid source material for characterization and plotting.
Besides which it'd be downright unpatriotic of me to abandon the works of a fellow Naidanac tribeswoman.
CelineR says:
I'm still checking, too. Everyday. I miss this comic so much.
myrrh says:
more recipes?
Steve V. says:
Here's hoping graduate school is going well for you. I'm absolutely certain it's lot of work, since I've done that whole bit. But learn a lot and contribute. Quoting KiP "School doesn't give you the answers - it teaches you how to find them for yourself". ;-) Take care, do your best, and make the most out of this important time of your life. (Don't forget the social time, but keep your priorities in mind.)
Frith Ra says:
Peeks in - ??
martian says:
Just dropping by... you take care k?
CMZero says:
Dropped back to weekly checks, but still checking hopefully. Study hard! Do awesome!
Nevergreen says:
It has been silent here for a while, time for a long time stalker to surface. :)
First; Life happens, live well!
Second; as of the comments, I would absolutely love a nitted comic strip.
Last but not least; whatewer happens, rest assure You has something great going in the field of comics.
Naturally, as all your fans, I find your comics fabulous, adorable, and excellent.
But more important, especially Get Medieval has a uniqueness in it's plot and in the expressfullness of the simple drawingstyle, which also contribute to tell the story excellently. That is a treat that I find most important in a comic.
The setting in Dumnestor's Heroes are legion even thou there are creative twists,
Knowledge Is Power's setting are more scarce, and there are even more twists, as well as to characters and plot.
The Prince And The Pauper(?), I didn't get in to that one so much, but can't recall anything to my disliking.
All in all, the world of comic is at great loss if this is the end of your contribution.
Sinseriously grateful for all you given!
Nevergreen
Rincewind says:
I love your stuff. I'll keep peeking in periodically, this is one of the best comics I've read.
